At SIHH this past January,

While most press attention from the collection focused on the in-house calibers, casing materials and range of complications in the new 46mm models, I was personally won over by the smallest and simplest of the bunch – the new 40mm steel automatic “base model”, reference 3239.Unlike the previous iterations it replaces, the 2013 Ingenieur Automatic is the most honest return to the styling of the original Gérald Genta masterpiece, the 1976 Ingenieur SL. Genta is of course known primarily for his work on a few other 70s timekeeping icons, namely the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (released in 1972) and the Patek Philippe Nautilus (also released in 1976).

Overall I think the case material is just one of the Sinn EZM 10’s strong points.Over the rotating bezel is a sapphire crystal insert. Another first for Sinn,
replica hublot, following suit with brands like Blancpain and Bremont who offer this to the delight of wearers. Sapphire crystal on bezels gives them a nice mixture of legibility and durability.

Very few pilot watches are this sexy, in my opinion, and this particular Breguet Type XXI 3813 version (that you cannot even buy) is particularly nice.Breguet hasn’t done too much in the last few years with its pilot watch collection. The most recent addition is the very complicated high-beat Breguet Type XXII 3880 (hands-on here). One has to wonder if choosing a Breguet Type XXI watch for its entrant to Only Watch 2015 is a coincidence or a sign that Breguet might update or add to its iconic-looking pilot watch collection later in 2015 or in 2016.
